Our house is located in the beautiful Eggegebirge. Not far from the spa town of Bad Driburg (3km) you will find us in the small quiet village of Siebenstern, which has a name far beyond the borders of the country for its glass products.
The family business “Haus Kanne” stands for a familiar atmosphere and offers you a wide range of “home-style cooking”. The swimming pool, with a feel-good temperature of 30 ºC, invites you to relax and is available to our hotel guests free of charge, outside of the Schumacher swimming school. While you linger on the large terrace, the children can play on the football pitch and playground directly in front of the hotel. A beach volleyball court also offers fun for the whole family.
Our house offers the ideal starting point for hiking, cycling and motorcycle tours through the Weserbergland, as well as the neighboring Hochsauerland and the Solling. You can access various hiking routes in the Eggegebirge directly from the house and the surrounding area also offers many beautiful destinations for day trips with the whole family.
There are plenty of free parking spaces available for our guests in front of the house. We offer our business customers seminar rooms with daylight, projector, flipchart and more for your seminars, meetings and coaching sessions. We are happy to provide you with customized offers.
You will feel at home in our cozy guest rooms, all quiet, with shower/WC/hairdryer, telephone and TV. All rooms are steplessly accessible - an elevator replaces the stairs. Welcome the new day with a delicious breakfast after a restful night. Our free WLAN is available throughout the hotel. We are happy to accommodate families with up to 2 children in their room. Children receive an age-graded discount. Our hotel is ideal for groups of up to 40 people (14 double rooms, 11 single rooms and 1 attic room). The Kanne house has a charm of its own and is very well managed by the Kanne family. All staff are friendly and courteous.
We were particularly struck by the difference between a hotel run by the owner and a chain hotel. The friendliness of the staff is remarkable. Here we had the feeling of being welcome guests.
I was here on business for three nights and the expectations of the hotel were met. Very quiet and yet central location. The room was also large enough and comfortably furnished. It was a little cramped in some places in the bathroom.
We spent one week hiking vacation in Bad-Driburg and of course Siebenstern. We enjoyed the time in the house Kanne very much. At any time there were very friendly and competent answers to our questions regarding possible hikes. We liked our double room, the size and furnishings were appealing. Not to mention the free wifi and swimming pool use.
